High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE)
Some students grasp concepts more quickly and effortlessly than others. They may excel in creativity, critical thinking, leadership, or athletics.
At our school, we identify and cultivate these talents from an early stage. We provide advanced learners with enriching lessons and activities designed to help them flourish and reach their full potential.
At our school:
- We are dedicated to nurturing high potential in four key areas: creative, intellectual, physical, and social-emotional.
- We encourage our students to think critically, innovate, take on leadership, and develop continuously.
- We promote a culture of high expectations.
- Our programs emphasise talent development for students with high potential and giftedness.
- High potential and gifted education is integrated within classrooms, throughout the entire school, and across the department.

What is high potential and gifted education?
High potential and gifted education (HPGE) is how our school supports students with advanced learning needs.
We do this through:
- effective teaching strategies like enrichment, extension and acceleration
- tailored support during lessons that stretch, challenge and inspire
- access to a wide range of opportunities both within and beyond our school.
Our high potential and gifted education opportunities
Our students engage with HPGE education in the classroom, in our school, and across NSW.
Senior Choir Group
Participating in choir helps students develop their singing skills, teamwork, and confidence. It enhances listening, discipline, and cooperation while fostering creativity and a sense of belonging. Choir also supports emotional expression and can improve communication and social skills, contributing to overall personal growth.
